This upright garment cleaner is very, very good at its job and matches the usual standard of the Morphy Richards brand.
Out of the box, there is a little bit of assembling to do, but nothing difficult, and I had the unit up and running an about 15 minutes. The clothes hanger and trouser clips make this a very effective alternative to an ironing board, and the results were excellent on various types of fabric. Somehow it feels a lot less burdensome than normal ironing, and actually quite a novel way to keep out creases.
The water tank is a good size so I was able to work through a decent pile of clothes in one go. I was also able to spruce up a man’s suit, which will delay the need for an expensive trip to the dry cleaners.
There are two steam settings, the lighter one of which works well on delicate clothes with no side effects. I was also impressed by the lint brush, which is very effective at removing hairs. This is especially valuable if you share your home with four legged friends.
A key question for this product is, can it truly replace an iron? For me, the answer is yes. At the higher steam setting I was able to get shirts and trousers crease-free, in less time than in iron takes. If your home is short on space, then this vertical steamer has a much smaller footprint than a standard ironing board in horizontal position.
Overall, a high quality product which has the power to replace your normal iron. Recommended.
